Hi guys!
Just been working with a developer on my site based on Infinity.
Since upgrading to a later build of Infinity from you Bowe, some CSS rules started playing up that were fine in previous versions.
The CSS was all found in my child theme and used to work fine.
Now it won’t override the Infinity CSS without placing !Important tags , which obviously isn’t good for efficiency and page load.
Have you guys changed anything in the newer builds to make this happen and is it possible to sort it so that it is possible to override the default CSS without !Important?
Cheers guys, great job so far!

I hope all your problems are solved by now?
Make sure to ask questions, and download the latest update of Infinity and Infinity for BuddyPress!
For the regular Infinity, please use this link: https://github.com/MrMaz/infinity/zipball/master Got BuddyPress installed on your site? Use this one

I have built up my community an awful lot over the past few months but obviously on a very old version of Infinity now.
I just thought I’d play around and see what would happen if I tried the latest version in my test environment.
Pretty much shows nothing when activated.
Just my site background and menu, and that’s it.
The custom functions I built into Infinity’s back end no longer show either.
I guess some fundamentals might have changed since my version!
Would be good to hear from anyone else who has been through an upgrade.

Glad to hear your community runs well
!
If you have made custom changes to Infinity most likely it all will break as the functions are not known by the new version, perhaps copy the functions.php file in order to make them work? Can you provider us with links to the sites you are talking about, please check out Bowe’s topic on how to start an issue thread and post all those details?
Cheers,
AronApril 20, 2012 at 12:11 pm #1100Hey Ross,
Lots of things has changed in beta 3 which cause your child theme to break. Luckily they can easily be fixed. Please wait a few more days until Marshall has made the final commits to the new release and then you can send me your theme and I’ll get everything running again.
