Hi – When I install Infinity I get an error message.
See screenshot: http://www.evernote.com/shard/s23/sh/eaab0fd1-8c14-41f4-8d09-84a37d42a542/ebcbd86ba976d9a6afc43a35eaca83c4April 24, 2012 at 5:45 am #1122What you might try to do is this:
- This link will let you download the latest version of Infinity Base: https://github.com/MrMaz/infinity/zipball/master
- Via your ftp, rename your current wp-content/themes/infinity/ folder to wp-content/themes/infinity2/
- Unzip your download and upload the infinity folder to the Themes directory. ( this method allows you to save all your current customisations to the theme you have made and still see what a fresh install does
)
Hope this helped! Cheers, Aron
April 24, 2012 at 11:28 am #1125Hi @wkriesel
Welcome to the community! Everything should be fine as soon as you rename the unpacked folder you’ve dowloaded to
infinity
Looking at the error message it’s still called something like “Mr-Maz-Infinity-random numbers
If you’ll wait a few days then we’ll have a new official release with detailed installation instructions! Thanks for trying out Infinity
April 24, 2012 at 3:26 pm #1130@bowe – no problem. It looks like a good product; I’m hopeful I’ll be able to use it for a project I’m working on – a learning platform for students. If you know any plugins or resources for this, please let me know.
By the way, were you the developer for the Woothemes Canvas Buddypress? I think that’s how I found Infinity; you were mentioned in the Woothemes blog post. If so, will you be offering the Canvas BP child theme?
April 24, 2012 at 7:22 pm #1131I deleted the installed theme and retried, naming the compressed folder “infinity” and here is the result when I try to activate:
Fatal error: func_get_args(): Can’t be used as a function parameter in /home/trsdmn/public_html/wp-content/themes/infinity/base/ice/lib/base/component.php on line 706.
What am I missing?

May 3, 2012 at 8:18 am #1162Then I tried to add Infinity to TwentyEleven…
That’s it – Twenty Eleven is now powered by Infinity! You can check out the documentation and start adding features!
but the link http://infinity.presscrew.com/docs/ is just a nice white empty page
May 3, 2012 at 8:20 am #1163Well, you have more white pages …
May 3, 2012 at 8:38 am #1164I downloaded new version from Github and it works. https://github.com/PressCrew/infinity
Something for the future

May 3, 2012 at 8:48 pm #1166Hi Kuldar,
Glad you got Infinity working using the latest version from GitHub! We’re preparing to release beta 3 that will address most issues. Hope you enjoy Infinity!
PS: Could you try and edit your messages in the future instead of posting multiple messages at once? That would make this thread easier to follow for others
Thanks!May 10, 2012 at 11:02 am #1178I installed Infinity to my virgin WP multisite, which has only Akismet and Hello Dolly and twenty ten and twenty eleven themes. I have one virgin demo site in place. I got this error below and couldn’t do anything on my network site or the demo site. I removed Infinity from the server and tried again – same problem… Help!

May 10, 2012 at 5:06 pm #1180Brilliant! The theme installation works now. However, though the theme adapts to the size of my browser window reasonably well, it doesn’t appear responsive on my iphone. Any insight?
